Moya Matcha is grown in the Uji region of Kyoto, known for its cultivation of the highest quality green tea for over 800 years. The Uji region is known for its healthy soils and clean water.
The green tea plants there have ideal conditions for growth thanks to hills that provide good sunlight, often mist that protects delicate leaves from frost and rain showers. Moya Matcha is carefully grown and harvested on small family-owned organic tea fields. It is then processed locally in Japan and shipped in small batches to be secured and checked. This helps preserve the qualities of the leaf and maintain high levels of minerals and antioxidants.
